Hourlland Enterprise LLC is a controls automation company that services existing automation systems, upgrades existing systems, and provides new control systems. Through a unique consultation process, we specialize in helping clients bring extraordinary performances to life by maximizing the toolset. Whether it’s a live show or an automated system, we have the knowledge and experience to keep it running smoothly and improve usability. Dale and his team are committed to creating transparent, usable automation control systems that meet each customer’s unique needs, including assistance with modifying current procedures and providing training to make the automation system truly work for the user.
Behind our success is a team of experienced engineers and technicians with deep subject matter expertise, knowledge, and understanding of rigging and automation. We understand the performance environment as well as the complexities of the control system and can help put those complexities in the right place; transparently in the background doing the work they should be doing. We are committed to providing the highest quality of service and ensuring that the people who do the work of putting art on stage have great tools to help them, not obstacles to work with.
Let us help bring the most memorable shows to life; after all, the show REALLY must go on!
Dale Hourlland, founder and president of Hourlland Enterprise LLC, has been cultivating his craft in the entertainment industry for over 40 years and, like many people in this industry, has held many of the design and execution positions available. He knows the feeling of having a hoist fail to move at the worst moment: just before a full house waited for the curtain to open, with all eyes on him to make it happen, and he was lucky enough to have the support he needed on such an occasion.
Bringing production experience to the manufacturing side of the industry, he has worked with theater consultants, owners, and operators of performing arts centers, sports stadiums, professional and educational theaters, and machinery manufacturers, to connect all the dots from the design concept to the venue, incorporating the nuanced needs and reliability required by the stagehands, technical directors, music teachers, theatre directors, or any other end user in an entertainment venue. Recognizing that this is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather a practical approach that completes the design intent of the system as a set of tools for the person standing on the stage, Hourlland Enterprise LLC was born.
